Started talking at me immediately with an east Indian accent. I told them I understood nothing of what they said. He then said, "I should go eat sh*t." I responded with similar vulgarity and hung up.
Called around 4:50 pm. I didn't recognise the number so I just let it ring. Searched here and after seeing the comments left I will be blocking this number on my phone.
This is the latest call from these scammers claiming to be microsoft engineers wanting to sell anti-virus software. A call to MicroSoft confirmed this is a scam. Turn these dogs into the FBI!
These scammers charge unsuspecting folks from a few hundred to thousands of dollars after they get access to your computer claiming to be a Microsoft certified engineer. Once they plant a virus on your computer they say they are going to remove it but what they ate doing is stealing your information and passwords from your computer since you let them login remotely to your computer. They want more money to remove it as wel. They appear to be from India or Pakistan and use a way to of their phone number to duspkay a call from a US numbe.
