Called and said they were interested in roofing work and wanted to know if we did residential areas. I just hung up. 770 area code? No where near us. Waste of time.
All we get now are telemarketing calls, we never directly answer the phone anymore. Carol left a message, saying she needed emergency electrical work (from outside our area codes), but I've learned to check numbers before calling back. Thanks for the posts, folks, the lie she tells in leaving a message was not terribly rude, except for it being a lie.

Yeah, just dealt with this one... she claimed to have a partnership with google, yahoo and bing search engines... ha! Too bad I've been doing search engine optimization for over 10 years. Posed as a customer, talked over me, started getting rude at the end. Typical hard sales language. Wouldn't want to be associated with them in any way...
I got a voicemail from this lady"Carroll",I thought it might be someone out of state looking for a plumber to do work at a rental, and then bill them, which I get COD and called this morning to tell her that.Someone picked up on the other end,but didint say anything,so I hung up.A few minutes later she called back, but by that time I had found this thread,so I didnt answer,Its hard enough to make a living without phone buzzards taking up phone time that could be spent talking to customers with legit.problems.
