A few years ago I was on a business call.  The call waiting tone went off and I switched calls as I was waiting for some personal news.  The VVA rep started talking about helping local families but I told him I was on another call and had to go back to it.  I have given money to the GVVA in the past and thought they were reputable. Note that my wife is tougher and if she answers they either hangup or ask to talk to me by name.  

I don't know if the caller heard me as he was rolling through his spiel but the call waiting tone started going off repeatedly.  I had to go out when I got off the first call and when I got back there were 3 very angry messages about being rude and other things I'm not going to repeat.  The last two calls came from a cell pohone that displayed the callers name.  The next time they called I demanded to be taken off their call list.  I recounted the tale above.  They assured me it was not one of their people.  Anyway a few days later Pastor Bob calls saying he understands we have some reticence.  I told him flat out that I was at my wits end an do not call means everyone, including him.  Then I directed to not be called again and told him if they called again I would call the police.
