I understand that the National DoNotCall Registry doesn't apply to "Non-Profits", but at last count there were over 1 MILLION non-profits in the U.S. That said, it seems only the shaky/desperate ones call persistently and at random. I like to pick up, listen to the spiel, ask softball questions, then pledge a nominal amount. When they ask for a CC#, I tell them they will have to send an invoice by mail and I'll send back a check. Somehow, I keep misplacing these when they come in...
