Called and asked for our marketing dept. I told her we didn't have one and she said she will call back next week. Umm why I just said we don't have a marketing dept. She just hung up.
I got a call from some guy asking for whoever handles our advertising/marketing. He said they work with our digital marketing and website tracking. I let him know we weren't interested, he was incredibly nice and polite but we just don't have a need for that at this moment, we have a company that already does that. He asked for their name so he could compare themselves the our current company and blow them out of the water but I told him I had no idea who our current company is (this is the truth, I don't have anything to do with that aspect of our company). I felt bad because he seemed really friendly and nice compared to the billions of crap telemarketers I usually work with, I just said no thank you, wished him Happy Holidays and a good day and hung up.
When telling caller I was no the "do not call list" he said "we don't use that" and continued with his spiel, as I continued to insist I did not want to hear about his product he became louder to talk over me and continue his pitch, stating at one point he would not hang up until he finished.
First this appears to be a business to business call which is not covered under any DNC list that I know of.(clearly stated on the national DNC registration page). Second there was certainly nothing to prevent you from simply hanging up the phone on him.
Kender, Business to Business calls are not covered by the "do not call list." That is only for private residences and some cell phones. If you are operating as a business, you automatically allow yourself to accept solicitations like this. I checked them out and the company seems to be legit. I'm considering using them for our medium sized business now.
