Got a call from the same number with a computer generated voice message. Called back as instructed. After communicating with them a short while. I informed them I was, an agent of the FBI, investigating reports of several possible phone frauds. They hung up and blocked me. You gotta love it. LOL.
[Give them no information]
ITS A SCAM!!!
I received several voicemails. I called back and they advised that they were the criminal investigations department and I owed $3k to the IRS, however, would not let me verify that. They stated if I disconnected the call they could no longer help me and my phone call, would be played against me, in the court of law in Washington DC. They also stated, if I could not pay $500 that day, that two officers would be at my "door steps" the following day to arrest me. They could not state what my "door steps" were when I asked where exactly they would be showing up at. They somehow had my cell phone and a previous address of mine. The call was disconnected and when they called back I told them to never contact me again, as I found this was a scam, prior to me finishing my sentence they hung up on me.
I received a call from 773-269-3243 claiming to be the IRS and that a warrant has been issued for my arrest, and my drivers license will be taken away. I started asking them a bunch of questions trying to determine if this was a legitimate call and they hung up. I called back and told them I was going to report the number to the police and hung up.
