My caller ID says "RAI".  The telermarketing agent stated he was from Colorado country radion station KJME, and asked if I was interested in having a non profit ad run, with our company name tagged to it.  The commercial was supposed to be a reminder to women to get their annual mammography, and he said the ad would run in August.  He said there was no financial obligation to our company EXCEPT, could we send  a contribution of $140, after the ad ran, and before the end of the year.  He needed me to authorize the transaction, and that is where I lost confidence & hung up.  I've learned the hard way that 1) If it sounds too good to be true, it is!!!  2) If someone CALLS ME to sell something, it's high likelihood of a scam.  3)  ALWAYS research the company/product before purchasing or agreeing to any contract.  3A) Always get an email from the vendor before buying anything.  This will verify contact info & lots of information, if it's a scam, they probably won't respond.  4) NEVER authorize anything you're not sure of, over the phone.
