I keep getting calls and I have their number blocked. I can remember when way back when the phone rang we knew it was family / friend / a call back / etc. Now the scammer calls out number calls we want.
Received this call 2.11 @ 12.45 p.m. The Indian gentleman was trying to out-talk me about Microsoft returning money to us. I asked for his name & number so I could have my husband call him back, he rudely just hung up on me. When I called the number back from the Caller ID, I was told it was a couple & that their mailbox was full. This is a total scam; don't even waste your breath trying to speak to them. Be as rude as they are & just hang up.
Received 2 calls from 773-322-2285 on 2/11/17, shown on CID as: "Cell Phone IL". The first call was at 8:30 AM in the morning, so it scared the stuffing out of everyone in the house, since it was SO early (calls that early tend to bring bad news). However, since no one recognized the number, the call was picked up by the answering machine, but no message was left. Then the second call was just before 1:00 PM in the afternoon on that same day, and again no message was left. Quite obviously this is a spam/spoof/sales call of some type; otherwise, a legitimate caller would have left a message, and would NOT have called before 9:00 AM (unless it were an emergency)! We really wish that these scammers could be stopped somehow-- the calls are SO annoying! Best piece of advice: NEVER, NEVER, NEVER answer calls from names, numbers, companies that you do not recognize!
I NEVER answer calls from names, numbers, or companies that I do not recognize. There is a scam going around now where the scammers record your voice, and then use it against you, claiming that you have agreed to make a purchase, or that you owe them money. Best NOT to speak to them AT ALL!
