Gentleman by the name of Gerald Jenkins contacted me from this number and left a voicemail for me to return his call. He never stated what his reason for calling was other than he was calling from investigative services and provided a case number. Luckily I am very weary of unknown numbers due to being a victim of identity theft. So I googled the number and came across this site. I did return the call and the story pretty much went the same. He was telling me I was getting sued ad I HAD to make a decision RIGHT NOW as to how I was going to settle the debt. Since I read this forum before I called I was able to recognize that all the information he had on me was PUBLIC information. As with Liz's story it was an alleged 8 year old debt. Once he informed me the call was being monitored and recorded I disconnected the call. The phone number is listed under the name Brian Lynkowski.
They scammed my husband into paying $65 in order to suspend a civil suit for an 8 year old payday loan debt. He felt threatened and thought they sounded very credible. The man introduced himself as Gregory Jenkins when asked for his full name. He said he was from credit solutions and gave his address, but when Google it is an address for the ups store in Chicago illinois. It was a scam and we had to do a stop payment and cancel our bank card.
