THIS IS A SCAM
19 August 2015 and 24 October 2015 Mark Jones or Robert Watson, Mark Davis or Joe from IRS, Tax and Audit Department calls with very intimidating tone in voice regarding tax evasion. VM stated the need to call him before the situation got worse. Restated the call back number multiple times but emphasized the choice is ours and he wished the best of luck. If you're luck to actually speak with the caller they'll claim they had mailed a letter, but it was returned. When you ask them the agency name that sent the initial letter -- they don't know the IRS's Agency name. The IRS uses the federal department name because IRS could be misleading. Caller's recorded accent will sound East Indian or something like the Pakistani accent of those calling about computer protection with Microsoft software, etc. Who would give that access to their computer with this MO?
IRS will never: 1) call to demand immediate payment, nor will the agency call about taxes owed without first having mailed you a bill; 2) demand that you pay taxes without giving you the opportunity to question or appeal the amount they say you owe; 3) require you to use a specific payment method for your taxes, such as a prepaid debit card; 4) ask for credit or debit card numbers over the phone; or 5) threaten to bring in local police or other law-enforcement groups to have you arrested for not paying.

Called and left a vm. Obvious foreign accent stated I was flagged for tax fraud? Said his name was Mark Jones and I needed to call him before the situation got worse and he wished me best of luck. All of my taxes were on time and done correctly so sounds like a scam to me! Don't give him any information.
Simillar call as "m" above, but he claimed to be Robert Watson from IRS, Tax and Audit Department. Claimed they had mailed me a letter, but it was returned. When I asked him -- He didn't know the IRS's Agency name. The IRS uses the federal department name because irs could be misleading

Do consider getting a call blocking device or phone.. You can google them and many are around $40.00 or so.If its a cell phone, some already have call blocking, if not, there are free apps on the web that will work for some. You can google this. If you have a smart phone, there is a free app called call control. Iphones appear to have apps also. Another one is called Mr. Number.
Got the same Mark Jones phone call, pretty ruff tone heavy accent. THIS IS A SCAM and here's why:
