I had an electonic message from 773-726-5756 at 12:30pm on 6/27/2017 stating: "Servces the reason behind our call is to inform you that there is a legal lawsuit that has been filed under your name, and there was arrest warrent that has been issued under your name by IRS to get more detail about your case field kindly give us a a call back on 773-726-5756. We want to hear from you. Thank you. "
The IRS will contact you first by mail, not phone. The IRS won't threaten arrest. Be careful of these IRS phone scams.
Same here. I called back, indian guy tells me theres a certified letter i didnt sign. I ask when it was sent, he says may 26th. I laughed and asked when the irs starts doing this? No answer. He wouldnt say his name, and hung up on me twice. Scam alert.
The man gave me a call yesterday telling me his name, a case number, badge number and some other code. Then telling why he was calling. Then tells me if i dont oay the IRS the money back that I could go to jail for a minimum of 5 years and also owe the IRS as much as $75000 w8th the minimum being $60000.
