Received a voice mail that started mid-sentence about calling 773-831-7792 or pressing charges. No identification given. Obviously a scam. Blocking number.
The caller ID shows Chicago, IL. There was only half of a robo / pre-recorded message stating nothing other than I needed to call them back.. suspiciously, it was the same voice & speech pattern as on another pre-recorded message I received 20 minutes ago stating they were the IRS calling to inform me I was being charged with tax fraud and I needed to call them back immediately. It's an obvious BLOCK, but if you're sick & tired of researching numbers and blocking these idiots, PLEASE start reporting the numbers to the FCC!
Just use one or both addresses listed below - If these numbers get enough FILED complaints, the FCC AND your phone carrier can actually attempt to do something about it. Bookmark these forms and, after you report them to the community on here, just go submit a complaint for every single one of these BS calls you receive! You might as well if you're already doing the legwork to research the number anyway! (Plus, it's slightly more satisfying than just hitting the 'block' option on your phone) Pass it on! https://complaints.donotcall.gov/complaint/complaintcheck.aspx and https://consumercomplaints.fcc.gov/hc/en-us (BTW, the second address is more official & takes a little more effort than the 'general' Do Not Call complaint submission form, but totally worth it if you want your revenge done right)
Poor computer generated voice message stating something about direct deposit. When will these morons realize that if it sounds bad/fake, it is bad/fake.
