I picked-up despite not recognizing the number. I did not say a word before a robotic women's voice informed me that they have a $9000 grant for me. I was instructed to call back at 773-839-4969. When the spiel ended, the connection dropped without me having done anything. I see no reason why there would be grant money due to me. Clearly this is a scam.
Received a missed call and needed to call back in case it was a patient. Foreigner answered and I asked three times what company, but could not understand anything he said. I hung up and called back to be answered by someone else I could not understand, so I asked to be transferred to someone who could speak English a bit more clear and I was hung up on.
You're correct - this IS a scam. Grants aren't awarded at random, they have to be applied for, and IF you qualify for one you don't have to pay to receive it which is what you would have been told if you'd called that number. Just block the scammers and ignore them.
