I decided to call the radio station that I was told was going to air my ad this week and ask if this company was legit and if they did indeed run my ad. To my surprise, the man said "yes" and informed me that the company is out of Chicago, IL which matched the address on my invoice. He stated that they get paid a portion of what they bring in for the station and they do advertise for you along with a message about drugs, alcohol, and drunk driving, texting and driving, etc. So, I guess I'll send them a check rather than a credit card number. I think they maybe just need to work on how they collect their money.
This is a radio station scam. They tried selling us ads for American Heroes on a local radio station. The radio station confirmed (1) they don't call businesses for ads or promos; and (2) they never heard of this company. They will call you on a weekly basis AND will send you a bill.
Google the complaints filed against them for this scam.
These guys just called us to sell us the American Heroes service announcement. You will know its a scam because they call back the next day asking you to pay half the bill on a credit card for an additional day of advertising. These dipshi*s suck and should be hung to death for using Veterans day to try and
they also called my business in Buffalo NY saying they would advertise my business in a veterans heroes segment. they originally said i owed nothing until after the ad ran, now they are calling daily saying if i pay now they will throw in a free day. i told them this sounds like a scam and they need to send me an invoice, they did but it looked kinda armature for a big media company.... this is a scam.
