This number called my DNC-listed landline (strike 1) today at 1546. Answered it. Nothing. Then, finally, a bloop sound that indicates it was an auto-dialing system. (Strike 2) "Ashley" started blathering on about looking for a model home for "free" wi-fi or some such nonsense. It sounded like one of those systems that are made to sound like you're talking to an actual person. When I said this, the person/system denied it. It even asked me if I was "making fun of" her. Seriously?? I steamrolled over her denials, pointing out that her call was illegal and she disconnected on me. So, a scam artist. Why do I say that? Because legitimate companies have enough sense to comply with the law, like the DNC list.
This number called today, I was clearly not thinking and answered the phone. Shilling for an alarm system, they install for free, you get a sign on your lawn says she. No thank you, says I and good night. ID from Sandwich, MA. Now blocked. I have to get better glasses!
