Claims from Aecom Technology Corp about a job. Had my resume I sent to the actual company. After long process, SCAM!

I just received a check and a text from the guy. It's kind of sketchy! How did u find out it was a scam?

This number sent a check ($1700) to my daughter with a note to take out her processing fee and send the cash back immediately.  His name is not in the aecom technology web page.

Oh and aecom did not have a clue who this person is. It is clearly a scam.

I am in the same ordeal. I am wondering how you dealt with it. I am very concerned.

They sent me a few emails asking for personal information. Then they sent me a check for 1,980$. I just spoke to the AECOM office in Sacramento, CA. You can find a number for your local office @ http://www.aecom.com/Offices+and+Contacts/Offices
They said they had been getting reports of other scams. Also the check i received has no mention of AECOM.
