got a call from them this afternoon wanted me to check my computer for harmful files.
I dont think so. Told them to remove me from their list. Couldnt understand the name of the company.
A fellow by the name of JACKSON just call me from that number - my caller ID said simply "OUT OF AREA". He said he had information that indicated when I used GOOGLE I was unknowingly downloading harmful files and he was calling to tell me how to solve the problem. I told him his call was one of the most ridiculous I'd gotten recently and to take my name off of his list or I would report him to the Missouri Attorney General. DO NOT LET THIS IDIOT DO ANYTHING TO YOUR COMPUTER.
Same thing with me, got a call from this # and I could not understand callers name. Had a VERY HEAVY indian accent and what I could make out of it was "I'm calling for the computer you complained about" I'm like... What?? What are you talking about, where are you from?? So he says a company name 3x and I still can't understand to which he goes to his scripted text. I let him talk for a minute and it had to do with browser, files etc. I have no idea what he was going to ask of me to do but I just said I don't have time for this and hung up. What absurd scam are they coming up with now?? I hope people don't fall for it!
