Caller(s) from this number inform people that they have won millions of dollars (oh and a new car!) and ask for the recipient of the call to send them money for various reasons. Money is asked to be sent for: paying taxes; bailing them out of jail for attempting to deliver money across state lines; to recover the money stolen by the first delivery guy; hotel costs by the company who is “attempting” to deliver the package and the excuses continue to evolve. Do NOT take calls from this number! They are scam artists and cause the elderly recipients of the calls to believe that they are their “friend(s)”.
This guy called my elderly mothers cell phone asking to speak to his "grandmother". Considering I've never had a son, and neither has my brother... we knew immediately to look here!
