This is the 2nd phone number from this group - the first was 781-484-2558 - blocked that one so now they're using this one. These people just won't give up - told them no on numerous occasions and they continue to call.
Caller ID says "FIRE CHARITFUND". They leave no message.
I call back after hours (using *67 to block my number). I hear the following, "Thank you for contacting the Firefighters Charitable Foundation. FCF is a non-profit organization aimed at assisting those who have been injured or have suffered loss and damage due to a fire. If you have a question or a concern, please, leave a message including your name, phone number with area code, and processing number, if you have one. With this information we will be able to efficiently and effectively return your call. Thank you for calling and have a great day. Please, speak after the tone. When you are finished recording, you may press pound for further options or simply hang up."
There is a "Firefighters Charitable Foundation". Charity Navigator gives them 0 stars and says at very most 7% of your donations do anything positive, When I googled that name, someone listed them as #5 on America's Worst Charities.
Bottom line, big scam. These are robo calls with no human intervention unless some sucker picks up. NONE of the money ever reaches the intended, it all goes to administration. Not listed on IRS tax exempt. Local fire chief has the real information. Check for yourself. Best thing to do as they keep on calling is report them on line to the FCC,
