This scammer has called my cell phone twice in a matter of days about my car warranty expiring.  My car warranty expired at the end of 2004... I think it's a bit later to be calling about renewing my warranty.  They have called using a different phone number each time, and there's no way for me to file a complaint online with the FTC because my cell phone isn't registered on the Do-Not-Call list.  I might think about actually calling the FTC office tomorrow.

FHA loan/refi recording.  The caller is clearly a telemarketing lead generator for loans, auto warranties, and credit card companies.  Other calls include:

06/24/2008 11:00 AM    (704) 824-1393

I'm still trying to track them down, but it's tricky.  If you deviate from the script the rep just hangs up on you.  They are only there to get you to their clients.  Play along, make up a name for yourself and lie about your car or loan info.  Claim you have a 1999 Toyota Camry with 125K miles on it, or say that you have a mortgage with a 6.25% rate.    They will eventually transfer you as a "live lead" to their client.

Once there, tell them the company doing telemarketing for them are breaking the FCC regs, and that it puts them at risk.  Last night I talked to a very nice guy at a loan company in FL.  He doesn't want his butt in a crack, and was very responsive to me.

We might get results from a mass effort to reach these end-point companies, and find out from them who they are using to do their telemarketing.

I'm going to spam this message at all the telemarketing numbers I can find, so please excuse me if you see this message numerous times.

In the meantime, I use this form a lot:
