Prerecorded Messages Allegedly from Kaiser Permanente, but located in Burlington, Massachusetts, and we live in Vancouver, WA, although we already ARE Kaiser Members. The prerecorded message directs a family member to call a toll-free number 866-447-2053 and enter a random "priority code" to answer prerecoreded questions!
Prerecorded message - claims it's Kaiser Permanente - asks me to press 1 for spanish or stay on the line. My voice recorder does nothing, of course, and then it hangs up. This happens about once a day now - for about a week - during the day while I'm at work. I call the number and am asked to enter my priority service code. I have no idea what this is. Pressing 0# does not get my an operator. I am a Kaiser member. I have no idea who this is or why they are calling me.
I have received a voicemail from this number claiming to be from Kaiser Permanente to call back a phone number 866-447-2053 and to give them a priority service code. I called and the first time I got a voicemail for a man (I don't recall his name; Steven something I think), and it actually sounded like a professional office or something. The second time I called a man (I'm assuming Steven)answered and complained that Kaiser had made a mistake in putting our their phone number and his phone has been ringing with Kaiser calls for several weeks now. It sounds like it might just be a hoax.
Received a pre-recorded call from this number stating to be calling on behalf of UnitedHealthCare, which is my current health insurance provider. Said that they wanted to ensure my record was up to date to ensure timely processing of claims. Gave me a toll free number to call 866-468-5884 with a unique PIN to entered. I called, received an automated message that I had called UHC. I entered my unique PIN, the message confirmed my name, then asked me if I, or anyone else in my household, had other insurance besides UHC. I indicated that we do not. And that was the end of the call. No additional information was requested.
