I got a CPR CallBlocker version 202 from Amazon ($87). It has a "block all VIOP Calls" setting. My pest calls went from 6 a day to 3 in 3 weeks, and I added those to the 1000 number blocking list with the 1 touch button; I'm now up to 10. I had been getting multiple calls from over 20 numbers. We shouldn't need to pay extra to stop the pests, but the peace & quiet is well worth it.
this horrifying ignorant s.o.b. constantly calls,bad hands,they stay on other end,i asked if they like hearing my voice,cuz they stay on the line,CONSTANT CALLS,then hang up, couple times called,said about electric bill, told them leave me alone, i did like other person said,keep hitting redial.says # not in service,not same recording as # not in service,then hang up fast,couple times,they hung up thru recording,do same to them. why does noone do anything,get drip noises,i think all taped messages.do same to them. DO SOMETHING PHONE CO>< DO YOUR JOB< try calling ,different recordings,some hang up quick,try,you'll see they hang up LOSER. i will get rid of landline.
The DNC and all other "regulatory" government agencies do absolutely dick! The only way to put a stop to these practices is for our elected officials to stop the phone companies from profiting from the d-bags who use said company owned phone numbers. Since the phone companies and others own the politicians then the chances are abso-effing-lutely ZERO!
To all you people who keep telling others to contact the DNC: stop wasting your time! The DNC does nothing but add to the federal deficit by employing more do-nothing hacks to another government do-nothing agency. Doesn't anyone get it? The government creates problems and then conveniently creates another "agency", "department", or "bureau" to deal with the problem. Government is not the answer. They are the problem!
