Yes I had this same # as well as many others on my caller id but I don't answer them or even pick up the phone. I let my voice message continue. I know how frustrating it is & is no use to ask them to take you off their list since even though you may be on the DO NOT CALL LIST REGISTRY-ALOT GOOD THAT HAS BEEN. I know we are on the DNC LIST as well. But I believe you need to contact this registry every 5 or 7 years to be put back on which is stupid. People are not accountable in their jobs as it is. I feel your pain of frustration as well but these people are probably in some foreign country sitting in a tent in the desert somewhere behind computers making money ILLEGIALLY! But the govt can't track them down? Oh pleeeeese! Don't frustrate yourselves replying to these idiots, they have no list to remove you from. They're smart enough to get United States phone #'s to use (that shows up on your phone) under alias names. And yes I've received these calls on both my landline & cell phones that ring with my home # too. It worries me that is that can happen, what's next? AND AGAIN THE GOVT CAN'T DO ANYTHING!
FYI: Our local tv news stations advise the public not to call back or press any other #'s to reply as it could cause a billing to your phone bill as "roaming" charges. Make sure if you unintentionally do that, that you contact your phone carriers & advise them of what happened. The charges may not be accounted for on your account right away, but just check with your carriers every day or so to make sure. Also, my local police dept advised me it could be a way for them to hack into your phone account to get as much personal info. they can.
REMEMBER: THEY DO THIS FOR A LIVING!
Why can't the government stop these telemarketers? They must be getting kick-backs from them or they would do something about them. The govt stops us from doing everything else like the PLEDGE OF ALLEGIANCE, HANGING OUR US FLAG, STOPPING VETERAN BENEFITS, NEED I GO ON?
AGAIN...why do you people continue to think you're bothering or getting even with these idiots. They smarter than you & I. They're guided by "SOMEONE". You're only bringing unnecessary stress on yourselves. LET EM GO!!!! They don't give a rats butt what you tell them. They have the #'s they're required to dial & then they move on to the next one. That's why you don't get to talk to anyone. They just want you to select the next # on your keypad so you can bill yourselves. Unless you all don't know who "telemarketers" are or do you need a refresher course? If so, contact your local police dept or consumer protection division. And when some of you waste your time to tell them to go ahead & send the product to you, do you think for any reason they have your address or even the item to send you? They don't! My police dept. has given this info. to me for reference.
As far as blocking one of their #'s, that's not going to work either because I already inquired with my phone carrier which would cost me an extra $5.00/month to block #'s. It's fine to give them a # to block but these tms will only create another # to call & bother you with. So it's never ending. I wouldn't waste $5/month on something like this. I'd buy myself lunch! There's got to be someone out there to GET TO THE BOTTOM OF THIS PERIOD! If the government can waste our tax dollars listening on our personal phones, then why can't they locate the main line that comes into the United States that carries these telemarketer #'s? A lot of people need jobs. Create jobs for people to monitor #'s like these that ring throughout the USA & track these people down. I know it's bigger than any situation going, but we've got to start somewhere!
