The gentleman on the other line described himself as Donald from a cash rewards company. He called to inform me that I was the lucky winner of a $5.5 million sweepstakes. It all sounded well and dandy at first (I win atleast $1 million a week, don't you?) UNTIL he told me that once the check is delivered to my home, I would need to give them $360 for their troubles. Not only did I have to give them $359 to be exact, I also needed to go to a Walgreens that 30 miunutes from my house and buy a "Green Dot Money Pack Reload" in that amount. I guess that is a money order type of thing. Needless to say, this is a scam artist on the other side of this phone number. If you see it pop up on your caller ID, don't even bother picking up.
This is for my grandma, she gets these calls everyday, all day. It drives us all insane! My mom will tell them to stop calling, my grandma tells them to stop, my brother does, my sister in law does, even my dad has told them to stop. It doesn't work. I need to know how you cn get rid of these people? Help, anybody?
