Received a call from the same telephone number. No message was left. I called the number back...including the *67 prefix...and reached a DMS switch recording saying that the number I had reached was not in service.
The reason you got a "not in service" message is that the call didn't really originate from 781-519-7992 — that's a spoofed Caller ID. It's easy to fake Caller ID these days.
I suspected that the number was spoofed. I'm seeing more & more junk calls coming in with invalid telephone numbers. I just received another one a few minutes ago. Off to make an entry about it.
