The call came from a call center with a whole lot of background noise multiple languages were being spoken in the background then the caller asks can you hear me now is this the play that calling scam game where you have to say yes hang up immediately don't answer them and go ahead and block the call it's just the scam
Called me and stated that my brother was involved in a 3 vehicle accident and he was being held hostage and was going to be killed if I did not pay $500 in T-Mobile prepaid cards.
Called my wife on 6/29 and said that her husband (me) had hit his nephew's leg with the car and was holding me hostage for $600 with a gun to my mouth (so I couldn't speak with her when she asked) at a undisclosed location. She hung up.
Called me this morning. I didn't answer. So they texted me saying "Excuse me, my name is Alex. Can (my first name) please call me back a.s.a.p. its in regards to a fam emergency."
I have not/will not be calling back
He called and told me he was in an accident with someone who he could not understand and needed someone to translate. That whoever that person was gave him my # by heart. I told him he was full of it, that no one in my family speaks another language. He then tried to change his story and told me they just couldn't speak at all, to which I told him he has the wrong person. Then, after I told him to leave me alone he said he's glad I wasn't in his family because I'm a "f***ing [***]" and hung up on me.
