Caller ID is "7818048137". The default format is (xxx) xxx-xxxx. So they have tried to appear vanilla but have failed. They leave no message.
I call back after hours (using *67 to block my number). I hear the following, "Thanks for calling. The original number you dialed is no longer in service. But its great that you called because we might be able to save you hundreds of dollars. Right now we have a midnight deal just for our late night callers that could save you on average $400. That's money in your pocket and gas in your tank. Just press 5 and our operators are standing by to help you. We're now connecting you to St*t* F*rm (asterisks replace vowels, so my post won't be deleted)."
I press 5. I believe the person I reached actually was SF (they are too slow to want information, don't know why you called, polite, etc. all of which makes me doubt that I was passed to a scammer).
The come-on sounds like it is pushing auto insurance. According to SF, they do not even sell auto insurance in MA. If I contact SF directly, they seem unaware of these calls.
BTW, I have been on the federal DNC list for years.

1) SF has hired a third party to make these calls. The 3rd party gets some type of referral fee for every referred call. On this sort of call I often, but not always hear, "Framingham Tops" (I googled this but discovered nothing). Isn't this a clear case of violating the DNC list?
2) The caller just wants me to press a button to indicate that I'm a "live one". The company is uninvolved.

Called today. I picked up. They asked for the person whose name the phone is registered (they are long deceased). They identified themselves as some kind of chimney service.
