Called for a donation for the Beverly Fire Department in Mass. They want me to tape a personal check outside on my front door?

Said he was not a fundraiser - calling for Abington youth sports.  I called the police dept and they said this is a different number than they have for any current fundraiser.  I'll donate directly at the police dept.

Caller introduced himself, said he was calling from the Wilmington Police Dept and wanted a donation. Wilmington does their once a year soliciting via the US Mail. I know this for a fact. DO NOT DONATE!!
