I have had that number repeatedly call me telling me that I have been approved for a loan of $1500 for a car, I tell them I don't want a loan and they start accusing me of wasting their time by applying for one. I have not applied for anything in a few months (i had taken out an online loan for $500 and it should have been paid off all ready) then i get repeated calls from various numbers 403-400-1244, 818-745-3175, 818-900-9954, 850-391-3338, 718-555-5444, 322-989-6824, 524-532-9227, 877-266-0842, 760-639-3500, 217-402-9281 and so forth some hanging up and immediately ringing again w/ a different number and others that are all stating that I have been approved for a loan. Since Friday I have lost $1790 from my bank account in withdrawls from various payday companies and my bank is not assisting in stopping this.. Apparently they have each placed tiny amounts in my account and to my fault, i had not noticed since they fell on my paydays and i usually am just checking my balance or typing in a check number to see if it went thru yet. i am not normally checking each transaction so since i didn't challenge the deposits that i was unaware of hitting my account, i am not stuck w/ the empty account since once the deposit is made no matter how tiny, Wells Fargo could care less about how much that same company takes out of my account and how many attempts they make at it and how many nsf fees i end up with. I have had to change my phone number to stop the calls and freeze my account since its in the negative now, i can't cancel it till its paid up to a zero balance. Every last one of these calls has one thing in common, the accent and that the person doesn't speak very good english, most likely they are overseas. I also had a phone call monday after I discovered my account was empty, it was from a company called Franklin Services LLC, this guy "Juan Negron" who is in Florida 888-908-0022 x 112 states that he is here to help me with these fraudulent payday loans and its going to cost me $198, then $168ever 2 weeks till January 17 2014, then $39.99 a month for 12 months. I do not know how he got my information, let along my cell phone number to call me. He sounds like he is from NewYork and he kept calling me and calling me and emailing me too. After changing my number i emailed him back and told him i am not interested and didn't feel comfortable with him trying to have me pay for this let along how he gained my info (including bank/ID and so forth) he had sent me an electronic form with a click to sign on it. It would have automatically taken from my checking account. I have filed a police report and gone to my lawyer too to see what else I should do..
They just called me. It's 8am. I answered and asked the guy what time it was there. I then told him what time it is my time and he is illegally calling me before the legal time, therefore he is harassing me. He hung up on me. Don't think I'll here from him again. Lol.
All you have to do is answer your phone, tell them they are harassing you and you will report them. They will hang up and never call you again.
