Just got off the phone from a guy calling on a line Private Caller line, stating he was with Microsoft. Then when I said I don't use Microsoft, he changed his tune and said he was from MAC. Claimed he was in Miami FL and that I have been hacked. Told me since he has my number that I have been hacked which BTW is Unlisted and on the National DNC list. So I began to debate that we are on a commercial router that hasn't been hacked. He kept telling me my computer would crash. I asked him which one? There is more than one computer. I asked him why Applecare isn't calling me if I've been hacked and that's when he changed and said he was with MAC HELP. Anyway, he kept saying he had to go and that I could call back at 1 786-245-4020. Meanwhile I could hear all the scammers in a call center in the background talking.
I got a call from a guy who identified himself as Jak Wilson (he sounded like he was of Asian descent). He told me he was a Microsoft tech and that my computer had been hacked and he asked to get access to my computer to show all the hacking events in the event viewer and that he would fix them.
The only persons who should be touching your computer is you, your manufacturer, Real Windows support that you have called and/or maybe a real live tech you see face to face!
I got a call and asked for his number. He said it was an autodialer. I then asked for a call back number. He gave me 786-245-4020. Someone answered and said they provide Microsoft tech support. He had me run some diagnostics. I went a long with his scam until he gave me their web site - www.mshelp.tk and asked me to download software so he could access my computer. At that point he hung up.
