Received two text messages: "73981 - Bank of America: xxxxxx is your authorization code which expires in 10 minutes. If you didn't request the code, call 1.800.933.6262 for assistance." I did not make those requests and called the 800 number—which IS Bank of America's ACTUAL contact number. The woman on the phone said she checked and verified that I did not request the authorization codes. I mentioned the 73981 text number, which she verified is theirs; however, I also gave them the phone number (786-353-3573) and the woman on the phone said she did not recognize it, would put it in the system, and suggested I submit it as fraud on the Bank of America website.
