I keep getting calls to our business from this number. When I answer no one is there then they finally pick up and it's a person with foreign accent asking for the owner and say they are with GMAC finance. I of course tell them the owner isn't in and doesn't matter anyway because none of our company vehicles are financed.
I received 2 Calls this Morning one at 8:30- and one at 10:30 From GMAC Last week I also received 2 Call about the same time, on a Line that dates back to the 70s and the number is
never given out, I gave it out a month ago to PETCO who had it attached to my account and I started getting calls one was From the better Business Bureau.and Used the name Attached to this phone. In ask how they got the number and after a long talk they told me they had bought it along with others, I ask for one of the others and Because I'm in Law Enforcement they were Happy to oblige me. I called that number and talked to them and they told me about there same calls and said the only one they gave the number too was PECCO. So I Hope this Helps with Stopping the calls.
I did not answer the call, but something wonderful happened.
I have Mr.Number on my android powered phone. Mr. Number is a free app and they get spam reports all the time. This particular number was not on my blocking list, but Mr. Number knew it was a telemarketer and it simply blocked the number for me. How cool is that?
The way Mr. Number works is it answers the call and instantaneously hangs up on the caller. The way they do it you do not get charged with any time off your call plan if you have limited minutes.
Lastly, I have no connection whatsoever to Mr. Number other than be a very satisfied user.
Called asking for the business owner or decision maker. Told him unavailable. I asked him what i could help with and the name of the business. He said gmc financial about a confidential financial matter. Explained to him we are not interested and to remove our number removed from the database. He insisted he was not making a sales call. I told him if we do not currently do business we are not interested, please honor our request and hung up on him.
