I got a call from this company as well. I have a son that is going to be a senior in high school next year and wondering if they got our phone number from a college information fair that my son attended. It was a place where several colleges had information available, but also wondering if there is a database related to that somewhere.
Calls me at least four times a day, only once has the person been on the line and asked for Michelle. I am NOT Michelle and I want this number to stop calling me!! I am going to report this to a higher authority if this [***] does not stop. And stop waisting my minutes.. POS pranksters.
This number called me this evening. Of course, s i l e n c e on the other end when I answered. I googled the number, got here, read all the info, called the number back, pressed "1" to get on the global do not call list, and did so. Easy process. Don't know how effective it will actually be yet.
Most interesting thing to note:
Caller ID said it was "Easy College"
Someone here gave a web address to a different "college" name
When I called to get on block list, at first they said "thank you for contacting _____college.net" (I don't remember what exact word was there, doesn't matter). However, at the end of the call, they said, "Thank you for calling [some completely different name] college.net"
Point being this company goes by at least four different names....sketchy much?
Yea, I got the call just recently and it doesn't leave a voice message which is odd. I got 3 calls today and like two 2 calls yesterday from this number. I am not sure when it started but after reading all these messages I am never going to answer these people. If they continue calling me..I don't know what to do. Although the signs says it is a telemarketer and they are the most annoying people on earth. They won't stop talking and they almost always want something from you. Very annoying. You people here are very smart and have a good head on your shoulders. Good for having your heads up on this one. If we stick together we can finally eliminate these unwanted calls and have only the ones that are most important come in only. Okay thats it thanks for listening. bye.
