but if you ask for dnc wait for it to say ok ill add you to the do not call list
Caller ID only said Miami, so I'm glad to know it was the FOP. I am trying to catch them in an actual call and not a voice mail to ask them to take us off their calling list as we are a nonprofit organization.
Called at 9:50am on 12/30/09. Caller ID showed "FL FOP FNDN," I wasn't there and no message was left on my answering machine. Florida Fraternal Order of Police Foundation collects for a memorial they are building to fallen officers. They have used a professional telemarketing outfit "Corporations for Character" in the past for fund raising. I have no idea how much of the donation gets by the telemarketer and "admin costs," but I would sure want to know before donating. Professional charity fund raisers in general have a long history of keeping the lion's share of the donations for themselves.
