Well these people actually gave me a break for a while.  Before today I hadn't had a call in 1/2 to 2 weeks.  The number they called from this morning was 786-369-1661 but left 305-600-3789 as a call back number.  This time he didn't leave a name, very professional.  He started with "your phone number" is linked to a case.  Usually they say your SS# and bank account are linked to a possible fraud situation.  He states the call back number then hangs up, no good bye or anything.  I was getting calls that supposedly were from my county but yet from a private number.  They kept giving me deadlines of when they would be showing up to serve me with papers. When I finally answered one day and I asked who was calling she told me then hung up.  Thes crazy businesses buy old debts.

Never heard of those criminals before.  And they are criminals if they tell you they are going to file fraud charges over a civil debt.
Federal law (FDCPA) requires them to send you a letter (US MAIL ONLY) within 5 days of their first contact that contains their name, physical address, the creditor’s name, and the amount of the alleged debt.  It also must contains “mini-Miranda” telling you that it is an attempt to collect a debt and that all information will be used for those purposes.  The one other important thing that this letter must also have in it is that you have a right to dispute the debt within 30 days receipt of the letter and if you do so, all collection activity must be stopped until the debt is verified.
Read up on your rights here, get template letters to send and also make a complaint at this government site:  http://www.consumerfinance.gov/
Also file a complaint with your State Attorney General's office.

Same as the above. I've now communicated with a 'Leeza Moore' at this firm roughly 5 times and she is unable to give me any information regarding who the actual original creditor was for the debt I supposedly owe, other than it is tied to a possible payday loan with 'Equity Funding' as the overarching lender. I consulted a few legitimate debt relief companies and they advised this was a scam. Leeza also told me that they will advise that I be prosecuted for felony charges due to my outstanding debt. The Mario Rossi and Associates group is clearly fraudulent - no legitimate professional information can be found online for them. Don't give these guys your money.
