Called my cell phone number which I do not publish. I was busy and didn't answer call. No message left. Had to be using a random number generator or hacked phone company to get number.
The sad thing is these crooks will use numerous fake numbers and will call consistently. Most of the scammers are over seas where the US can do little to nothing to enforce the law. The criminals know that and take advantage of the opportunity. Even more sad, is the fact that these calls continue because they work!
With all the credit card and identity hacks in the news today and with the NUMEROUS television, newspaper, magazine reports about telemarketing scams and the persistent warnings from the FCC, every single day, someone falls for these types of scams.
You should NEVER EVER give out personal information over the phone. Sadly, not enough folks, especially the elderly know this.
If you want to lower your interest rate, call your credit card company. Everyone does it, it is not unusual for you to do so. There are legitimate companies that can help, as well.
Telemarketing scams are the new email spams. REPORT THE CALLS and WARN OTHERS. These illegal calls that VIOLATE the DO NOT CALL REGISTRY laws and many other federal state laws, persist because crooks are evasive and people aren't aware.

Be smart! Ignore telemarketing calls (even those disguised as surveys), report to the DNC list, warn others. Warn others, warn others.
I received a call from this number but didn't recognize it and since I don't know anyone in Florida, who would be calling, didn't answer and no message was left.
