The DNC list only applies to legitimate telemarketers. Telecriminals (like these), do not follow it or any other laws. Just hang up on them and contact your cell provider for possible options for blocking the calls.
No, the DNC isn't a farce. Imagine how many calls you would get a day if you weren't on it. Criminals don't pay any attention to it, and they're the ones calling you. Legitimate businesses use the DNC and they don't call you if you're on it. The DNC is NOT a call blocker. If you want to block calls, you have to do that yourself.
They don't go by the DNC list because they're criminals. Criminals like to take advantage of gullible people. Don't ever give any information to anyone over the phone unless you initiated the call.
Just got a missed call from this number. Based on these prior messages, it looks like yet another new spoofed number from these predators (at least new for me).
