The call has called my cell phone stating that I qualified for a government loan of $5,000. That would not have to pay back but To get the money I would have to give them my bank information or receive by western union. There was a fee of 249.00 initially. I told them i,was comfortable with doing either of those. And I hung up.
I received a second call 5 mins later from same number. This time i qualified for free health care. I just hung up.
I received calls from this number numerous times. They are very persistent. I have qualified for gov't grants, money from taking Ocella birth control (which I have never taken), unsecured loans up to $5k dollars. It shows in my caller ID as Miami, Fl but NONE OF THEM SPEAK ENGLISH WELL. What is funny is that during the gov't shutdown, my husband actually fell victim to them. He went a MoneyPak pre-paid card and gave them the sum of $275.00. When he called them back inquiring about the $5k they promised, they told him that the IRS took the funds. The freaking IRS was not even working. He has now learned that if you are seeking money from a company, they will not make you pay anything up front.
this number called my cell twice today. did not pick up any of those times. yesterday it was a different number. my issue here is how are they getting the cell phone #s? Someone is selling lists of numbers or they hack into some phone databases? I do not give out my cell phone number to anybody else than my family and close friends for this very reason.
this is getting on my nerves. I am going to talk with ATT about it. not that I expect they will do something about it, but maybe if they get complaints for more people....
This number has been calling my phone 5 or 6 times a day. They don't speak english very well at all and the only thing I understand that they are saying is "this is not a sales or marketing call". Told them regardless they needed to stop calling me.
I received three call from them so far today, at 12:48, 2:31, and 2:51. Because I checked here after the first call, I did not pick up and have now added them to my block list. Thanks for the info!
