I've experienced an explosion of bs calls over the past few weeks. They're either automated or its some Indian guy wanting me to allow him to hack my computer. All from different numbers or unknown. This one was a recording from Miami. I can't stand the amount of technology we've got in this world anymore. It's too much and there are too many people with access to too much information. Needs to stop.
Didn't answer, caller ID says: FLORIDA. Sadly my phone can only block 300 numbers; I have to take an old one off for each one I add now. I really wish the phone companies would put a stop to robocalls. The FCC not only told them they can but said they really should. Phone companies whine: "But it's too expensive"
I totally agree with you. Technology and computers can be a great learning tool. However, in the wrong hands, it can create chaos and in our cases, a lot of annoying hours with bogus calls. I wish there was some way that it could be stopped.
Microsoft scam artists state your home computer is sending a message to microsoft. In order to correct the error they need to remotely take access of your computer. In order for them to do that they need your help. Once they get in they lock your computer up and hold it for ransom. I love these idiots! I let them give their speech, sounding concerned and grateful. When they get done I then tell them I am amazed at their ability, especially since I have no computers in my home and even my home phone is an old rotary.But I will let my brother,the county sheriff, know and before I can finish my sentence they hang up. These calls come from all over the U.S. and ALWAYS it is a very strong Indian accent.
