Via Go Daddy's 'boost your web' I had been in contact with the ad rep from YP Yellow Pages, on line directory.
After much going back and forth I decided on passing on any paid ad and opted to simply take my free ad.
Shortly following my first phone call with the YP rep I got a call from US Directories on line ad service. I asked them to take me off my calling list.
After my last conversation with the YP rep when I opted for my free listing, I received another call - this time from YP Yellow Pages on line. I spent a significant amount of time securing my listing, etc. I was told there would be a one time set up fee of $5.00. At the very end this rep thanked me for choosing US Diretories. When I questioned his company pointing out that he had represented himself as a YP Yellow Pages rep, he quickly said they were one in the same.
I have seen so many scams from printed and on line directory services - but I never thought I would allow myself to be scammed. I got an invoice today for US Directories to activate my monthly $5.00 fee. I can say scammed.
Another out of state call... Didn't leave a message but I could hear I the back ground a bunch of catter like one of those mass phone call stations . I called back with my number blocked. I got a message said they would not accept my call and to call back from listed land line. SCAMMMMMM!
