I just had the same call about the "bladder mesh surgery"...a woman with a very thick accent. I had to ask several times what she was even talking about because I couldn't understand what she was saying. I told her I was working and asked if it was an emergency. I thought she said something about insurance and I told her I had insurance she said it was not a telemarketing call so I stayed on to listen. Then she asked about the surgery and did anyone in my family have a surgery. I said no. I think she could tell I was aggravated and said was sorry to have bothered me and I just hung up. I am on a "no call" list...apparently that doesn't work???? So absurd!
called at 0817 am, I answered and very difficult to understand. mumbling; asked for "Christina" I said who and they repeated and I hung up.. They called back 75 minutes later, I did not answer. the only reason I answered the first call was I am in the process of selling items, dealing with insurance issues and buying a car.
This scam called me 5 times during my workday without leaving a voicemail , then again at 9:30pm tonight. I finally answered and some indian sounding female began abruptly talking about a family member and a medical procedure ( which I could not understand ). I got cut off so out of pure curiosity I called back and some indian dude picked up.He got flustered right away when I told him I was a government agent and hung up. Cmon people, some indian calls with nonsense its an obvious SCAM of some kind.
