This company is outta control. Called my home several times today and I didn't pick up. However they called tonight at 9:07 pm and then at 9:25 pm. I did pick up both times considering it was after 9:00 I needed to hear what they had to say, the girl says a name and I told her that person does not live here and I said do you realize that you are breaking the law by calling after 9:00 and she say but I need to complete the project. I ask what project and she says the survey...oh hell no and told her it's after 9:00 but she had no clue that no solicitors are to call after set time. Phone rings again at 9:25 some other girl and she wants to speak to the registered voter. Told her I'm a minor living on my own with no supervision and she says ok and hangs up.
This company goes by 'Mountain West' (with a Miami Fl area code and prefix...) The have a recorded message if you try to call them back that says you 'missed' thier call for a survey. They called 3 times in 30 minutes and never answered when you say hello.
called them (after blocking their no.) recording says they are not selling anything, just conducting a survey. We get approximately 6 requests per day for surveys. enough already.
This "survey" *might* be to get the telephone numbers of people who call back, the theory being they are curious and therefore gullible.
Crummy telemarketers like to then call the responders' numbers alleging they are "returning the call you made" which they think exempts them from the Do Not Call laws.
Scammers do because they are criminals looking for people to trick.
Got a call from these people - I have learned if you answer in a language other than english - it really throws them off and they don't know how to handle it. Give it a try--- Bueno? Habla espanol? No habla english..,they hang up so fast it makes your head spin. Scam the scammers!
