After a pause, the woman said she wanted to speak to the person on our utility bills. I said he wasn't home. She wanted to know when she could call back. I asked what the call was regarding, and she said, "When can I call back; what's your answer to that?!?" I told her she was rude and I wouldn't speak to her further. After reading the other posts, I'm really hoping they don't keep calling.
After calls from this number every day this week, I did some research and discovered it is Direct Energy. Next time I will answer and ask to be removed from their list.
Keep in mind that the call may not be coming from Direct Energy. These numbers are spoofed all the time. I got a call yesterday from my own number because every number in my exchange has been spoofed by a telemarketer company overseas somewhere. Unless they leave a message explicitly indicating who they are, the best you can do is let them know their number is being spoofed. And odds are they already know and are powerless to do anything about it.
About the 3rd time for this call, but did not answer. If anyone decides to call back (which I do not advise) be careful with the number as it's just one digit off from a Miami hospital, as I found when I accidentally mistyped the number into google just now.
