They are typical of phantom collectors. ALWAYS CHECK THE BBB and Consumer watchdog services before making arrangement with any Debt Collector. CRS Solutions and Core Capital have a few items on the web about them being fraudulent companies. So the story is that they called me and threatened garnishment and court proceedings if I didn't pay 2 outstanding loans or set up arrangement in 7 days for Midland Financial and Cardinal Mgmt (found out their are a closed company). I never received documents from them so they stated I would receive info regarding payment installments. I went ahead and made two small payments and then had to stalk them to finally send me the documents. What they sent had fraud written all over it, very little information and no references or further info on the companies they falsely claimed they were collecting for. I quickly placed block on my payment method (if you are using a CC or Debit Card you'll most likely need to close and get new number). Also Make sure that you make changes on any auto payments to your valid and real creditors.
Got a call from Davis Group (541) 233-5201. Called them back and was connected Amber Collins who claimed she was with Capital Risk Services, not Davis Group with a contact number of (954) 919-1952. Ended up setting up payments with the understanding they would send me proof of the debt. They sent me, via email, a letter from them showing my payment arrangements, not proof of the debt. Called the number (786) 681-0829 at the top of the letterhead and it was capital risk services. That was over a month ago and now the same connects to Garrett and Associates, another scam.
Be carefule, these people will names, numbers and everything just to scam you.
I fortunately caught it after one payment and had my bank fraud department take care of it.
