FTC, why don't you do your #$% job. Stop these telemarketers, the scammers who are ripping people off of their hard-earned money. I have a relative who is 83 years old, and this person was taken for $5K over the phone. The people who realized they had a cash cow then tried again a month or so later, netting $13K more. This is with a person who has worked hard all their life, put into the system, and who has not taken from the system any freebies, like welfare, etc.
Some of the trolls reading this page may have their fun thinking how could someone be so stupid. Wait--it could happen to you at some point, or it could happen to a loved one, a friend, family, etc.
FTC and anyone in the position to be helping sort through all the scum filtering money out of honest people's pockets should get off their @##$ and make it a real pain for those ripping others off. Frankly, I sick to dealth of the stupid, harassing phone calls in the middle of dinner, 'urgent' calls at 8am telling you that you need to check out their credit repair service when your credit is already good, calls coming through while you're busy doing business on the other line only to find out they want a piece of your pocket….c'mon. Let's bring this country back to where it was before. [And no, I don't want to do it the Trump Way.]
