This lady said she was setting up appointments for American Bath and Shower. I countered I am on federal DO NOT CALL registry. She said I have to sign up every 60 days to stay on it. She became abusive and hung up. I'm a senior, so she may have gotten my name from the public list used by all those insurance companies that try to sell supplemental Medicare insurance. Now she thinks she can sell me a walk-in bath tub? She needs to stick her head in one--full.
I answered a call from 323 326 4118 (California). Same story but different phone number. The man calling asked for me by first name. When I asked "who's calling?" he said, "American Tub (or Bath) and Shower. " I said, "Why are you calling me? I am on the Do not Call List." He said "We are the ones who make the walk-in tubs you see on TV." I responded, "Please put me on your company's DNCL." He crisply said "We don't have one." I said, "Well, don't call me again!" He stated he'll keep calling!!! I told him I would contact the FCC and hung up as he continued to talk rudely on the phone repeatedly stating something about calling again and again. The reverse phone call would not go through. These folks seem to be rude, garbage who don't have the common decency to respect simple "do not call" requests.
This company is not a scam group also the people that call you only set up appointments they dont know if your on a dnc list or not so maybe you should be a little more courteous next time
The Do Not Call list is set up so legitimate businesses know who NOT to cold-call.
Telemarketers who ignore the DNC list are violating the law.
Another word for law violators is "criminals" ... so, can I say that is a criminal calling?
