Im leo too and got the same phone call, i answer but no body talk, call back and didn't work to me looks like some type of scam and for what i see is they are calling anybody with the same name
I received a telephone call yesterday on my cell phone. They spoke Espanish. Two persons indicated they were EMTs . That my daughter had gotten in a car accident, had received 6 stitches and had hurt somebody's son. I was told not to call the police or I would never see my daughter again. They said they had her in some project. I was told they needed from $800 to $2500 to help with hospital expenses for their son. They kept on talking very forceful and would barely let me talk. Finally I told them not to hurt my daughter and I was going to stop by my house to pick up a check. They got angry and said: if you do that, you will see your daughter in a casket. Just bring your debit card and we will meet you at the parking lot in Wal-Mart. At this time I hung up the phone and called the police. I was informed these is happening a lot in the Sanford, Lake Mary area. The police went to check if my daughter was OK in her house. She was safe and did not know what was going on.
