I would not doubt if it is one of the many numbers that a place called _____Collection Agency uses. I read it is a place that buys old debt for pennies on the dollar, then calls and harasses you repeatedly trying to get you to say you had the debt and arrange some kind of payment. If you do that, you are locked into another 6 years or whatever the statue of limitations on a debt is where you live. For example, in Oregon, verbal, written and contractual debts have a limit of 6 years to be collected on. If they are not collected on in the 6 years, I think the company can write the debt off in some way to regain their loss somehow. But people like these folks will buy the old debt that has been written off and try to get you to start paying anything on it. While in doing so, they can lie to you, the debt starts over, and then they can sue you and harass you for the total amount again demanded now in full. I hear they even tell people they are going to jail to get them to say something,
Or it could be a weirdo from where ever the area code is trying to be a jerk, since they say nothing when they called and my sister thought it was her daughter tonight. Before this number, it was 7346810631 that called, and then after them both, a private number. I wish I could remember the companies name. Somewhere online is a list of all the numbers they use. Debt Profolio Services or the like. Just put a N by these numbers as they are a waste of time for no answer. It might not even be you they want, but someone who had the number you now have over 10 years ago. I also hear they are called bottom feeders. lol
