Caller ID said PUERTO RICO. I picked up only because my husband has been dunned for years by Puerto Rico to pay them thousands of dollars on some "property" of some sort that he supposedly owns there, though he has never been there, never owned anythign there, not even a bank account, and I turned the whole mess over to my Senator's office, who sent it to the man who serves as consul in the US Congress to Puerto Rico. But it was total static on the line, so I hung up, then it rang again, but I did not pick up. I wish they would communicate with us in writing. Of course, I do not know wheterh this is actually Puerto Rico's government, or some scam calling.
It was Puerto Rican government calling, they wanted to speak to my husband's first wife - they were divorced in 1975, he has not seen her since their daughter got married in 1994, she lives in Virgin Gorda, British Virgin Islands. and he did not get this phone number until more than a decade after she took off with the tennis instructor. Weird. (Maybe she lied to them, and gave them his phone number instead of her own for the business matter involved.)
