I received a text and then a call from them saying the same thing. The scary thing is that I have family in Puerto Rico (where the number is based) and they told me they were in the NY area and it was my father. They gave me a name sounding similar to my dad's (with the heavy accent) and proceeded to ask me for his last name. I didn't give the information because it just didn't make sense to me and because I asked too many question the caller got frustrated and ended the call by saying "F**K you B**ch!". What is interesting is that the same person called me back today from a different phone number 631-223-9757 and called themselves Cesar or Jesus Lopez. When I recognized the voice and asked them if they had called me yesterday, the caller simply said "Oh sorry" and hung up.
This is a vicious scam and a terrible joke to play on an unsuspecting individual!
